Yardi Systems, Inc. (“Yardi,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information in connection with the RentCafe Account Verification text messaging program — the program that delivers one-time passcodes and account-security messages for two-factor authentication on RentCafe websites and mobile apps.

2. Information We Collect

When you register a phone number for text verification, we collect:

• Your mobile phone number
• Your consent record (date, time, and method of opt-in)
• Message delivery records (whether a verification message was sent and delivered)
• Carrier and device information needed to route messages
• Opt-out and HELP requests you send

3. How We Use Your Information

We use this information solely to:

• Deliver one-time passcodes and account-security messages you request
• Maintain records of your consent, opt-out, and preferences
• Provide customer support for the program
• Monitor delivery quality and troubleshoot delivery problems
• Comply with legal obligations, carrier requirements, and The Campaign Registry requirements

We do not use phone numbers registered for two-factor authentication to send marketing or promotional messages.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Telecommunications service providers and SMS delivery platforms, solely to deliver program messages
• Mobile carriers and The Campaign Registry, for message routing and regulatory compliance
• Legal authorities, when required by law

5. Your Rights and Choices

• Opt out: Reply STOP to any program message, or remove your number in RentCafe account settings
• Get help: Reply HELP to any program message
• Access your data: Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Correct your data: Request corrections, or update your number directly in account settings
• Delete your data: Request deletion of your information, subject to the retention requirements below

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging.

7. Data Retention

We retain SMS consent records and related data for at least four (4) years from the date of collection or your last interaction with the program, as required under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and industry guidelines. Message delivery logs may be retained for operational and compliance purposes.

8. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with trusted service providers to operate this program, including SMS messaging platforms and telecommunications providers, The Campaign Registry for brand and campaign verification, and mobile network operators (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and to use it only for the purposes we specify.

10. State-Specific Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have additional rights:

• California (CCPA/CPRA): Right to know what personal information is collected, right to deletion, right to opt out of sales (we do not sell personal information), and right to non-discrimination
• Virginia (VCDPA): Right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal data
• Colorado (CPA): Right to opt out of targeted advertising and certain data processing activities
• Other states: Similar rights may apply under your state's privacy laws

11. Protection of Minors

This program is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors through it. If you are under 18, do not register a phone number for this program. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

12. Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies based on your sign-in activity. Message and data rates may apply; contact your mobile carrier for details about your plan's rates and fees.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date. Continued participation in the program after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
